2026 Winter/Spring Semester:

The Bible and Politics

Do you find yourself annoyed by politics? Have you had a thought like “Christians shouldn’t worry about politics, we should just spread Jesus”? Do you simply have no desire to care about politics? Have you used “the separation of church and state” as a reason to separate yourself from any political action? Do you avoid national news like the plague? If you said “yes” to any of these questions, this ROOTS course may be for you. Join Kyle and Joseph to explore what Scripture has to say about politics, specifically if and how Christians are called to be involved. In these 4 sessions, we’ll look at our biblical calling as humans, we’ll explore the history of God’s people and their involvement in government, we’ll learn Bible-based political ethics, and finally dive into how Scripture directly addresses many hot-button issues in our culture today.
